Subcomandante Insurgente Marcos

Subcomandante Insurgente Marcos (literally “Deputy Commander Marcos rebels”, a nickname, presumably b. June 19, 1957 in Tampico, Tamaulipas, Mexico) – left radical writer and philosopher, the chief ideologue and propagandist of the Zapatista Army of National Liberation that has submitted a Native American uprising in 1994 in Mexico in Chiapas, the author of more than 200 essays and 21 books.
