Cynthia McKinney is an internationally renowned human right activist who is called upon by people all over the world to stand for peace with them and on their behalf. Her brave readiness to be on the political and moral front of struggle for peace, justice and equality has been recognized all over the globe. Cynthia risked her life and wellbeing while delivering humanitarian assistance to the besieged people of Gaza during Israel’s 22-day military attack on Gaza, Palestine. She greatly contributed to the mitigation of the horrors of war and occupation in Palestine. Cynthia was brave enough to travel to Lybia before US/NATO occupation against this country and assemble a group of journalists to report the truth about Lybia as opposed to the blatant war propaganda of US and their poppets. She wrote a book “Illegal War On Lybia”, which reports on the details of US/NATO military invasion and discloses the core of war and political crimes committed in this country during the bombing.
Cyntia has also studied the phenomenon of the Ukrainian coup d’etat and the leading role of imperialist Western countries in the greatest political and human disaster in Eastern Europe of the 21st century. She is a contributer in “Flashpoint In Ukraine”, edited by Stephen Lendman. In it she writes the chapter entiteled “Libya, Syria, Venezuela, Ukraine: Another War Based on Lies, Pretexts, and Profiteering?”
She has completed her facefinding mission to Syria to understand what encouraged the US government to wage a war against this country. Cynthia is not afraid of saying straightforwardly that the militant mercenaries of ISIS and other terrorist groups have been created, nourished and sponsored by US in order to depose Assad and occupy Syria.
Cynthia McKinney served twelve years as a Member of the United States Congress House of Representatives. She was elected six times by the people of the State of Georgia. She exposed corruption in Washington D.C. as well as fiscal frauds. She challenged the Africa Policies of George Bush’s and Bill Clinton’s Secretaries. She has always spoken for Black people in US who are still enduring the burden of oppression, neglection, police terror and brutality, etc. Therefore, she has sought to release records pertaining to the surveillance and murder of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and Tupac Shakur. Cynthia exposed the secrets of CounterIntelligence Program (COINTELPRO), which was created in order to quash dissent during the 1960s and 1970s and assassinate some foreign leaders. The US government is still practising this program as a mehtod for tracking and removal of political activists and leaders!
Cynthia now holds a PhD in Leaderhip and Change. She has completed her dissertation on the leadership of Hugo Chavez and his Bolivarian revolution. She is now teaching political science in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
It was a great honour for the Anti-Globalization Movement to offer hospitality to such an outstanding politician as Cynthia McKinney in Moscow. She spent here 6 days, from 12 to 18 December, 2015. Cynthia managed to meet with Russian people and participate in the round table discussion on urgent political issues. She was greatly pleased to find out that Russian youth is very interested in politics and eager to know something new about US and other countries, make contacts with other peoples and nations. Cynthia was invited for interviews with leading Russian media like Russia One, Life News, NTV, Ren-Tv, Russia Today, etc. During her interviews, she gave a profound analysis of the current political situation in US, especially pertaining to the presidential race, global conflicts and fight against terrorism. Cynthia also told about Black genocide on the part of US government and police as well as malignant life conditions of African people inside US.
