Decorah, IA – On Monday night, August 4, the Decorah City Council chambers was packed as residents demanded the city move forward with a proposed “separation ordinance” to limit cooperation with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). The ordinance, drafted by immigrant rights advocates, would restrict the city from engaging in unnecessary collaboration with ICE. Doctored footage shows LAPD killing Chicano Jeremy Flores

Los Angeles, CA — On August 28, authorities released highly-edited footage of the shooting of Jeremy Flores, a Chicano who lived in the Boyle Heights neighborhood. Flores was killed by LAPD Hollenbeck Division officers on July 14. Under two California Laws passed in 2018, AB 748 and SB 1421, the LAPD was forced to release body-worn footage 45 days after the killing of Jeremy Flores. Milwaukee car caravan takes streets for Palestine

Milwaukee, WI – On Sunday, August 17, 75 cars filled Milwaukee streets in solidarity with Palestine. The Wisconsin Coalition for Justice in Palestine, a coalition of 80-plus organizations spanning across the state, took to the streets for the Anti-War Action Networks national call to action.
